Which cookie are we talking about here?
Certainly not the baked ones but these magic cookies actually revolutionized the website world in the early 90s. It actually is a small size file which is stored on your computer memory when you visit a website. Certain information related to your visit to the website is stored on this file and the browser sends it back to the website server each time you open that website on your browser.
Do you need to worry about it?
Usually, cookies do not carry any personal information or pose any serious threat to website visitors. In fact, they are built to help the users. Tricky part comes when the websites start to track what you are doing using the setting cookies. Everything becomes unsafe when it gains the potential to hold your financial and personal information. The risk is even higher if you are using a public/shared computer, which someone is going to use after you leave that place. In this case, deleting the cookies before leaving the computer is always recommended. Even better if you use an incognito browser mode to browse the websites, on which you have to use your financial details for varied purposes. We at FlashFixIT advise everyone to hit Ctrl + Shift + N to open the incognito mode of your default browser everytime you are not using your personal computer to feed your financial details. All the cookies will get automatically deleted after you close that browser window!
Enjoy cookies safely!
